MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET (1947)

Kris Kringle (who, unbeknownst to cynical, market-minded adults, is the real Santa Claus) is hired to play himself at Macy's Department Store in New York City. His gentle, joyous spirit and magical powers soon transform those around him, including a little girl and her world-weary mother. When his integrity is put to the test, Kris Kringle must appear in court to prove that he really is Santa Claus. Director: George Seaton.
