Young Phyllis Allenby (June Lockhart) is engaged to be married to her lawyer boyfriend Barry Lanfield (Don Porter). She lives at home with her Aunt Martha (Sara Haden), cousin Carol (Jan Wiley), and housekeeper Hannah (Eily Malyon).
