THE 30 FOOT BRIDE OF CANDY ROCK (1959)

Lou Costello makes his only film appearance without Bud Abbott as a bumbling junk dealer (Artie Pinsetter ) who fancies himself a great inventor. Artie's fiancée, Emmy Lou Raven (Dorothy Provine), is exposed to radiation in a cave and is transformed into a thirty-foot giant. When Artie nervously explains to his betrothed's rich uncle that she has gotten "big", the uncle misunderstands "big" as "pregnant", and insists that Artie marry her immediately. Subsequent shenanigans involve Lou, the humongous Ms. Provine, her bombastic uncle Gale Gordon, and the entire US Army. Before Dorothy can be returned to normal size again, Lou's invention transmogrifies into a time machine and rocketship. Director: Sidney Miller.
