THE CHAMP (1931)

Washed-up boxer Andy Purcell (Wallace Beery), AKA 'The Chanp', travels from one tank-town bout to another in the company of his faithful son Jackie Cooper (Dink ) and his stuttering manager 'Sponge' (Roscoe Ates). Hoping for a comeback, Andy travels to Tijuana, but his alcoholism and gambling forces him to the brink.
