THE RUNNING MAN (1987)

The year is 2017, and ex-cop Ben Richards (Arnold Schwarzenegger), is framed and convicted of mass slaughter and is forced to become a contestant on the most popular game show of its time, "The Running Man". On the show, convicted felons race for their lives in a decimated L.A. in the hopes of a pardon, which they receive only if they survive. Damon Killian (Richard Dawson) is the corrupt and ruthless host of "The Running Man". He grows more and more agitated as Ben Richards continually thwarts death. The longer Ben Richards stays alive, the more he is determined to prove his innocence to a deceived, mass television audience and to exact revenge on corrupt Damon Killian and his popular game show.
